Lycogel// Breathable Foundation & Tint

I was recently given the opportunity to review these two products, 

Lycogel 'Breathable Camouflage' & 'Breathable Tint'!

As I wear make up everyday for work or everyday living I was interested in seeing if these products were all they lived up to be in their write up. 

So what is this brand?

A valid question as I was in the same boat as you..I'd never heard of it but after doing some research (thanks Google!) I discovered that : Lycogel is the first breathable colour corrective foundation treatment that combines cosmetic and skincare technology to promote the healing of damaged or post- procedural skin, offering an immediate solution. 

Each lycogel product is designed with a variety of skin types in mind be it for anti-aging, blemishes, pigmentation, sensitive skin, everyday coverage or for post-cosmetic procedures.

The products contain the revolutionary LYCO-complet, a carefully balances set of 12 active ingredients that work together to deliver oxygen, moisture and nutrients to the skin including hyaluronic acid, anti-oxidants and peptides.

Entering into summer I am a lot more concious (even though we should be all year round) about sun damage to my skin, so the fact that not one but both of these products have an SPF 30+ is terrific, you may not even realise but even driving your car, sitting on the train..many everyday tasks is when your skin is still likely to experience sun damage which is one of the main causes of ageing!

These products are the first breathable colour corrective foundation treatments, they combine cosmetic and skincare technology to promote the healing of damaged skin, it provides a breathable base with powerful ingredients and vitamins to allow skin to breathe and is formulated with active ingredients that deliver oxyegen, moisture, and nutrients to the skin!

THE VERDICT: I really enjoyed wearing this foundation, its medium coverage is great for an everyday wear. I received a fair few compliments on my base the day I wore this- saying it looked flawless and what was I using. On top of this it felt super light on my skin-like I was wearing a moisturiser. 
It lasted very well throughout the whole day and into the evening, going a little oily in my t-zone but that is normal for me as I have combination skin. 
I have been reaching for this more and more for an everyday work or running errands look!

Breathable Tint.. A luminous light coverage that gives skin a visible glow, also containing SPF 30 and available in 4 shades. $125

THE VERDICT:

I wore this when I attended a recent festival for 4 days (In 30+ degree weather everyday), I love that not only is this Tint light, but it covers up any scarring I need covered- plus the fact that it has a SPF 30+!

It lasted about 5-6 hours until starting to fade but I figured this was due to the fact it was so incredibly hot- any make up would come off when you are outside camping in 30+ degree heat. 

Overall I liked the coverage, the colour, the feel on my skin and the SPF in it is great! My face didn't burn once!

SO WHAT DID I TRY?!

Out of the 10 serums that V10 Plus provide, I tried out three, The Vitamin A eye serum,  The Collagen Serum, The Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I have tried out these serums over about 3 weeks, focusing on one serum each week. My top pick out of the three would have to be the blue bottle, Hyaluronic acid. Here is a snippet about each serum I tried out!

Blue Bottle? Hyaluronic Acid Serum..

Deeply Hydrates and Firms The Skin, hyaluronic acid is ideal for dry skin or anyone who suffers dry patches. I applied this serum as you would any serum, after cleansing on lightly dampened skin (this helps the serum to absorb faster and deeper in the dermis layer of the skin), after letting this dry for a few seconds I would then apply my normal eye cream and moisturiser. I used this for my night time 'treatment' whilst using my normal serum during the day..

I liked the feel of this serum, at first I thought it would be thick like an oil (from looking at the bottle- prime example of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover) Once I unscrewed the lid and applied the product to my hands from the dropper I was surprised at how light the serum was and how quickly it absorbed into my skin. 

Pink Bottle? Vitamin A Eye Serum

Who doesn't need some vitamin A in their skin? As I've been working a lot lately without many days off I am really starting to see this on my face, particularly under my eyes! I do use an eye cream every morning & night but found it wasn't enough. Thats where a serum is the perfect step to add into your skin care routine. Applying this after your regular face serum, letting it absorb for a few seconds, then going in with your normal eye cream is the best order for maximum results. I have noticed my under eye area doesn't look as tired so far, I have only been using this one for a week but I will defiantly continue to apply it morning and night! 

Green Bottle? Collagen Serum

When you hear the world collagen a lot of younger people tend to think "oh I don't need that, thats for more mature people".. incorrect, its never to early to bring in a few anti-aging products to get ahead of your ageing. This particular serum Strengthens the skins foundation, it contains marine collagen, which is fresh sea breams scale, it also contains marine elastin, As collagen dominated about 80% of the dermis and keeps the elasticity of the skin, plus decreasing in your mid-20s its important to replenish your collagen to keep your skin looking fresh and young!

This product felt light on my skin, as well giving a slightly tightening feeling, without being uncomfortable. As I am only 20 currently, I will keep this product tucked away in my cupboard for when I hit my mid-20s so I can appreciate it fully!

Haircare.. Whats new with Vo5!

Todays post is all about my current hair care routine which consists of these 4 main products (among many others) which I go back to day after day, week after week. 

A super affordable brand which is easily accessible (priceline, chemist warehouse etc), super cute packaging and providing quality products which are available in different ranges depending on your hair concerns… Mine? Dry & Damaged hair! I love curling and straightening my hair but HATE getting it cut.. Ooops! 

VO5 Smoothly Does It – Tame & Shine Spray 100ml

After blow drying my hair it tends to look like a fuzzy animal of some sort…not cute! So this Tame & Shine spray is fantastic to help calm it down and make me look human again. I read online that the best way to use this is to spray it onto my hairbrush and then brush it through once I have finished styling my hair, and I would have to agree, it creates a smooth look WITHOUT the oily looking shine some 'frizz' products give you. 

VO5 Smoothly Does It – Styling Spray 200ml

Im a user of straighteners and curling irons so this is a heaven sent!

You can create styles until your hearts content with this fine spray which protects the hair from damage up to 230°C! It contains a heat activated complex that helps protect from the heat of styling tools.

I have been loving the smell of these products as well as the way its making my hair feel! It feels healthier on the ends and looks more radiant once I've washed and dried it!

Today I am posting a mini review on an AFFORDABLE fragrance I've been enjoying recently.

This perfume is the perfect size for your handbag, at 30ml with a well sealed top you don't need to worry about any leakage!

The packaging is super cute and simple which I love for an everyday on-the-go fragrance. 

Soooo… The smell? The top notes of this fragrance are pineapple, blackcurrent and citron. The heart notes consist of Muguet and Freesia, and the base notes include musk and vanilla! 

To me the smells of the musk and vanilla really come through which I enjoy as I am a vanilla lover. 

Also available is a body fragrance & dry shampoo in the same line with the same scent!

JAX COCO

Recently I have tried out a few items from a brand called "Jax Coco", if you haven't heard of it here is a bit of background information..

"The Jax Coco story began in Adisa after four coconut water enthusiasts- Jane, Jason, Alex and Max- noticed that while there were plenty of young coconuts (and even more coconut water lovers), there didn't seem to be any coconut water products packaged easily for consumption. In Asia, coconut water has traditionally been drunk straight from the nut. I personally have never found myself to be a huge fan of PURE coconut water and the taste just doesn't do it for me.. HOWEVER the Jax Coco drinks are combined with flavours such as Chocolate are a lot more appealing! 

I found the best way to drink these is to use them when creating a smoothing or juice in the morning, where instead of water you add in some coconut water.
