PONI COSMETICS.. no ponies were harmed during the process (don't stress)

Poni Cosmetics I first saw at the Beauty and Wellness Expo in Sydney 2014, I remember seeing huge pink boards that said PONI COSMETICS.. I had no idea what all the fuss and the lengthy lines were about. So I headed over to have a look, they had a lot of products for brows and lashes. One in particular I remember seeing was the "Lash Growth Serum" which looks fascinating.
Unfortunately on the day I was a bit strapped for cash so I was unable to purchase anything but a few of my friends did get some goodies!
If you haven't heard of Poni, it is an Australian owned company (YES!), The owner/ creator Evette has worked in many avenues in the beauty industry and really knows what her clients want for their eyebrows and eyelashes! Hence the brand based around those two areas.
You are able to purchase their products through their website OR through stockists (Visit http://ponicosmetics.com.au to check the closest to you).
So lets get down to business, Today I am introducing to you two products from Ponis range..
NUMBER ONE.. we have the "Brow Magic" Perfect brows made easy eyebrow crayon in a twistable pen, with a eyebrow brush on the opposite end, perfect for everyday use! NUMBER TWO.. The iconic "The White Knight" Mascara, which is aimed at helping to resurrect skinny and short lashes.
NUMBER 1.. Brow Magic!
The colour is perfect for me, although it is only available in the one colour it is very build able for those wanting a heavy or more defined brow. The product contains Biotin which helps to re-grow dormant hair follicles, it is extremely easy to use and doesn't need sharpening. On their website they advised you warm the product in your hand for a few seconds if it has been in a cool area, as this will make the product glide on smoothly.
I find this to be almost identical in colour and texture to my Mac brow crayon for a fraction of the price ($29 AUD)!
I am not a huge fan personally (ON ME, most people can rock defined brows) of fully defined, really filled in brows purely because I feel like it makes my face look so heavy and I look angry (I have a resting bitch face, sorry). So the way this product is extremely easy to apply and I can build it to a look that works for me is SO fantastic.

NUMBER 2.. THE WHITE KNIGHT MASCARA
This mascara was really fascinating to me as I have never tried a "two-step mascara".. well thats what I call them. The concept of this mascara is to "Rescuing Skinny & Short Lashes", I am lucky enough to have quite long eyelashes naturally but never the less I really enjoyed and was super impressed with the result. Initially I curled my lashes and then went in bottom wand for "Volume", evenly distributing it amongst the lashes, then after a few seconds I apply the top wand for "Length".
I have included a photo of the steps and the end result (Left with the mascara- Right with no mascara). This mascara is NOT CLUMPY AT ALL which I love, there is nothing worse than when you find a formula of a mascara you like but its clumpy!
This mascara also contains Peptide, Biotin and L-Arginine which are growth ingredients, which is the first of its kind. It is a semi-waterproof formula which is said to cause NO PANDA EYES! This Mascara which contains TWO mascaras for your convenience, retailing at $30! BOOM.. DRUGSTORE PRICE, HIGH END PRODUCT.

Both these products are Australian and are available through  http://ponicosmetics.com.au

Be sure to follow Poni on social media to keep up with all their pretty posts!

I hope you enjoyed this post and inspired you to pick one OR TWO of these products up!

ROSEHIP PLUS.. I give it an A+

Haven’t heard of RosehipPLUS before? It is an 100% pure and natural Rosehip oil, free from preservations, colours and added fragrances and is for the external use only. The smell of rosehip oil is a true sign of an organic cold pressed oil that can be smelt on application but doesn't linger on the skin.

It is said to help:
-Reduce the appearance of stretch marks and scars
-Maintain skin hydration of dry skin
-Improve the appearance of dry skin
-Minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
-Promote skin elasticity and texture
So lets get down to the products:
ROSEHIP OIL
Initially I picked up the Rosehip Oil, which is Australian Certified Organic and Cold Pressed, from my work. I was in desperate need of some deep hydration for my skin, especially in the winter months where it tends to become dry and patchy… not ideal for putting make up on every day. I found that after using this for three weeks it had helped my skins overall glow and reducing the appearance of scarring on my cheeks. Ive almost finished my first bottle of this (the 30ml bottle) and will soon to be moving on to my second. I have compared this to the Kora Organics Rosehip oil, which is extremely more expensive, and you get A LOT less product (15ml for $44.95) and the RosehipPLUS oil came out on top, hands down. I personally, liked the texture more and found it was more hydrating due to its thicker consistency.

NOURISHING NIGHT CREAM
“Blended with our RosehipPLUS’ Rosehip oil, this Nourishing Night Cream helps improve skin tone, reduce appearance of fine line and wrinkles, promotes skin elasticity and texture, while helping support a healthier looking skin.”
I did enjoy the texture of the night cream, also applied with the Rosehip Oil underneath. I didn't find it made a huge difference to my skin but I did like it.

HYDRATING DAY CREAM
“Blended with RosehipPLUS’ prue rosehip oil, this hydrating day cream offers essential nutrients & antioxidant benefits. Leaves skin feeling hydrated soothed and aids in reducing the appearance of fine lines.”
I really liked the light texture of the day cream, as I am not one for heavy moisturizers. I trialed this for a solid three weeks everyday to ensure I could give you all an honest review. I did find that in conjunction with the Rosehip oil underneath my skin felt extremely smooth and hydrated. It provided a excellent base for my make up.

ROSEHIP OIL SKIN BOOSTER
The roll on applicator makes this product ideal to apply to spot areas of the skin, it's the rosehip oil but in a nifty roll on tightly sealed packaging, Ideal for travelling in my opinion. I have found over the years oils can sometimes leak, which is not ideal all over your make up brushes so this is prefect.

RosehipPLUS’ products can be found in Pharmacies as far as I’m aware and are extremely affordable. For anyone wanting to begin a full skincare routine at an affordable price I would highly recommend these products.

THE BEST & EASIEST HAIR CURLER TO USE..LUXCURLY

I HAVE NEVER EVER, EVER MANAGED TO CURL MY HAIR SUCCESSFULLY….can we just take a moment to look at the above photo! YES at the age of 20 I finally have it figured out, all thanks to LuxCurly!
I have quite flat & thin hair and currently have been a little bored with my standard straight hair, so this curler is a heaven sent. Luxcurly is created by Hanita a mother of three from Sydney,Australia, for women who want to use their time efficiently!

Luxcurly Lux Natural is a 28mm round barrel auto-rotating curling iron ideal for those with thick or medium to long hair. It features a ceramic- and tourmaline-coated barrel with PTC heating to ensure steady, even heat distribution. It also has an LCD temperature display and control buttons to allow users to adjust heat levels. While the temperature is set at 180 degrees, it can be increased to 220 degrees. The curling wand automatically turns off after 60 minutes, and comes with a two and half-metre long cable.

It creates curls literally within seconds, Its auto rotating function means no more twisting your hairstraightner round and round and getting a weird looking flick 'curl'  NO thank you, I was so over trying this method and it failing time after time!
The design of the curler also makes it a lot harder to burn yourself all thanks to the new technology used by Luxcurly, the first company in Australia to do so.
I have never used a curler like this.. as well as creating super gorgeous curls it is available for the VERY affordable price of $119 AUD.
Luxcurly offers the ‘Natural’ wand which I am reviewing today, as well as the Luxcurly ‘Classic’, a conical shaped wand that also rotates.

If you are in the market for a new hair curler, or even if you aren't I suggest you get your hot little hands on one of these curling irons as soon as you can, the price and quality is unbeatable, plus the fact its dummy-proof (ANYONE CAN USE IT… even I can!)

Ive been using mine every day to try something different from my classic straight hair down look, but just a word of advice if you are going to be or do use a heated products everyday on your hair I would recommend a treatment oil or heat protection mist to help minimise the damage as much as possible!

SO WHERE CAN YOU BUY IT?
Head over to https://luxcurly.com.au/products where they sell both curling irons where they offer free shipping Australia wide and $10 shipping to New Zealand!

BLOGGERS UNITED MELBOURNE EVENT

A few Sunday's ago I felt very fortunate that I was able to attend the first 'big' Bloggers United event in The Meadow, Melbourne CBD!
First off I'm going to talk about how beautiful the actual place it was held at was, it was a very relaxed area.. reminded me of a soho loft! Each room had its own unique theme to it which I found really interesting, it would be a super cool place to hold a 21st or any other events! Super cool place so I take my hat off to you, Nikita for finding it..
This is a photo of the 'common room' that I have borrowed from The Meadow website.. to take a look at all the other rooms and learn more about the venue visit: http://themeadow.com.au

On arrival a few other ladies and I were standing in the foyer and there was a table of name badges which stated our names and our blog or instagram name which was super cool.. Once we 'signed in' we were lead to another cool space which was board room like but with a twist (again see the website for pictures) At first I think a lot of us were a little nervous as we 'knew' a few people from Instagram but didn't actually 'know' them in real life but the nerves and awkward feels soon faded as we slowly began chatting about where we lived, what we do and our joint passion.. BEAUTY!
As everyone trickled in at 1pm we were lead into the common room where there were tables set us with lots of goodies on them, including Chia Caco Bowls, Cocopure water and some awesome nectarine gummie lollies which to be honest Im not normally a fan of nectarine but these lollies I have to make an exception for.
We all sat down and phones were put down as the ladies who organised it all Jasmine from @sweetaholicbeauty and Nikita from @njtblogger talked us through the plan for the next 4 hours! Two ladies from Benefit Cosmetics began talking to us about the new They're real Mascaras & Liners which are going to be available in all new colours which I'm sure will be super popular once released, They spoke to us about the design of them as well as the formula etc.. As they spoke they passed around all the goodies for us to have a play with and of course take photos of (we are bloggers so this comes naturally!) I have never used a lot of Benefits products but was very impressed with the liners and how easy they are to apply as well as their staying power! My god I still had it on my hand the next day after having a shower that night and all! AMAZING STUFF!
We then broke for some lunch and cookies, followed by receiving OUR GOODIE BAGS! The girls went all out for us, the bags were jam packed full and there is still more to come in the mail!! Oh my goodness I think we were all so grateful. The bags contained everything from makeup to some yummy snacks (the bagel bites won my heart!).
We then listened to Y-Li Zhou the CEI of Enbacci which is an Australia skincare brand, talk about her journey to creating these products as well as having a feel of the products! It was very interesting listening to Y-Li speak, she was so kind to us and gave us some MORE goodies to try at home!
After another chatting break we then listened to Cherie Bobbins from cheriebobbins.blogspot.com.au talk about… HOW TO MAKE MONEY FROM BLOGGING, Cherie went into detail on how to create your email list and what to put in your mail outs.. what I took mainly from Cherie is 1) be confident and 2) Market like a MOFO!

There were about 22 people that attend on sunday and it was so much fun meeting new people and learning new things, especially been put out of my comfort zone and speaking to new people which sometimes makes me nervous as I get worried I won't have anything to talk about etc (lame I know).
I met some lovely lovely people that I will hopefully see again soon! I will defiantly be attending the next event Bloggers United hold in Melbourne.

The whole point of Bloggers United is to get together bloggers as a community and not have little cliques as we are all in this together!
Once again thank you to Nikita and Jasmine for putting SO much effort into this amazing day!
