Fuente Haircare

ANYONE IN NEED OF NEW HAIR CARE?
I know I was, UNTIL I found all these terrific products.

If there is one thing I love to indulge in it is good hair care products, especially masks and treatments as I put my hair under a lot of strain everyday brushing it quite roughly, then straightening it and most days for Uni I am required to have my hair wrapped around a big bun. That said I want to introduce to you four products I think you NEED for your hair!

1.

 MOISTURE WELLNESS MASK
This mask is a leave in temporarily product (5 minutes) in wet hair and smells like coconut which is a little heavenly…for me at least. After leaving the mask in for 5 minutes I rinse my hair out in the shower and you can honestly notice a difference already with the 'feel' of the hair. SMOOTH AS A BABYS BUM to say the least. I find this treatment so rewarding for my hair and once dried with the hair dryer and straightened etc my hair is left with a subtle glow (not a greasy glow- a glow like the girls in the pantene ads on TV!)

What this Mask advertises it will do for your locks is...
  • Restores volumes of natural fatty acids and moisture
  • Maintains the natural elasticity of the hair
  • Protects the hair
  • Has a curative effect on dry, scaly skin
  • Ideal for all naturally very curly/frizzy hair types
  • It is ideal for dry hair
2 & 3.
PROTEIN WELLNESS SHAMPOO & PROTEIN WELLNESS CARE
I first received this shampoo and conditioner/care just before I headed to the beach for a week so it was well and truly trial'd properly! I found that with my beachy, sandy locks this shampoo & conditioner worked well in returning my hair to its natural & normal state. It didn't have that thick and oily feel that you often get after you wash your hair with a standard inexpensive woolworths haircare products.
What this shampoo advertises it will do for your hair…
  • When proteins are lacking
  • Ingredients include wheat proteins and mistletoe
  • Gives the hair volume, elasticity and gloss
  • Strengthens the hair
  • Adds proteins to the hair
  • Contains honey for extra natural proteins
What this conditioner/ care advertises it will do for your hair…
  • When proteins are lacking
  • Ingredients include wheat proteins and mistletoe
  • Gives the hair body, elasticity, volume and gloss
  • Adds proteins to the hair
  • Strengthens right down to the fiber layer

4.
RHASSOUL VOLUME OIL
This oil is designed for closing split ends which lets face it we all need a bit of this oil. It gives shine, volume and recovers those ugly white looking split ends.  The beauty of this oil is that you can either apply it on dry hair or wet!

"The Rhassoul Oils from Fuente are developed for all types of hair damaged by chemicals in hair color, perms and environment- and weather factors. The special ingredient formula contains Rhassoul oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil and Hippophae Rhamnoides Oil which are rich in vitamins, anti oxidants and proteins.
Rhassoul Volume Oil provides the same properties as the Rhassoul Oil but the composition is lighter. Fuente created this oil especially for fine, lightened- or bleached hair. Rhassoul Volume Oil provides healthy, shiny hair, strengthens & cares, anti aging and closes split ends without making your hair heavy!"- Fuente Website
So what does this product adverse it will do for those ratty split ends?

ULTIMATE HYDRA PERFECTION|| YES PLEASE

SCRUB A-DUB-DUB

A face scrub which doesn't damage your skin is essential and unfortunately there are alot of facial scrubs out there which damage your skin whether it be the actual product or how hard you are 'scrubbing' the product into your skin.

We scrub/ exfoliate our skin to remove dead skin cells, dry patches and unevenness on the skin.
BUT how often does one need to exfoliate? For MOST skin types twice a week is the perfect amount, although for those who have sensitive or delicate skin twice a week may be too much and could cause irritation but only you will know how much is enough. If you live in a warmer climate or you have naturally oily skin you may need to exfoliate more than twice a week to accommodate to a higher build up of dead skin cells.

When scrubbing your face you shouldn't try to 'hurt' it as such or go crazy with the scrubbing motion.. Gently massage the product into the skin with slight pressure. I found that massaging it in circular motions around the face works best for my skin.

My favourite exfoliant/ scrub after trying many over the years from all over (priceline, myer etc) I have found one that really works well with my skin. The Ultimate Hydra Perfection 'Gentle refining scrub' from Racinne, the scrub retails for $24.00 and is available at http://shop.racinne.com.au/gentle-refining-scrub/
This scrub is designed for all skin types and uses ultra-fine exfoliating bead. The smell is quite 'fresh' as it contains lemongrass and peach extract. "This formulation also contains seaweed extracts that promotes a 28 day skin renewal system to increase the absorption of nutrients and hydration for luminous, purified and radiant skin." After exfoliating my face which this product it feels very smooth and hydrated! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a new exfoliant/ scrub!

WRINKLES SCHMINKLES

What a cute little name, 'Wrinkles Schminkles'.. you haven't heard of it yet?!
Ill give you the info you need to know!
Instagram: http://instagram.com/wrinklesschminkles/  OR @wrinklesschminkles
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/wrinklesschminkles
Website: http://wrinklesschminkles.com

"We all know there are countless lotions and potions on the market to treat wrinkles on the face, but what about wrinkles on other areas of the body – like the chest, neck and décolletage? Looking around, we discovered that there was just about zip. Nada. Nothing.

Not one to shy away from a challenge, the Wrinkles Schminkles team got to work developing an affordable, super-effective and non-invasive range of products to help women look and feel confident, as they begin to age, gracefully.
Using silicone, which had long been used in the medical profession to treat scarring, the Wrinkles Schminkles range is designed to work its magic on wrinkles that can appear on the chest, neck, décolletage and of course, we didn’t forget about the face.
Aside from being ultra-convenient and easy to use, the best part about Wrinkles Schminkles is that our Silicone Pads literally work overnight. Simply peel, stick and sleep, and wake up to smoother skin and fewer wrinkles.
It’s time to say Schminkles to wrinkles!" -Wrinkles Schminkles Website
For my Australian readers, their head office is in Bondi Beach NSW so when you make an order it arrives so quickly which is fabulous… I mean who likes waiting? NOT ME.
So what is my point? Well today I'm talking to you about THE 'Forehead & Eye Smoothing Kit' which includes one silicon forehead pad and two silicone eye pads AND wait for it…. are reusable! Thats right you can use it more than once! Love it!

Why would I use this?
Well forehead and eye wrinkles can be caused by ageing, sun damage and facial expressions and sleeping face down (Me) or on your side which is said to cause creasing (Me again). These clear silicon pads are worn while you sleep or are sitting at home, they are PROVEN to smooth out forehead, under eye and crows feet wrangles which leaves you feeling happy and confident!

What does it do?
Silicone has been used for along time in cosmetic skincare treatments and has been prevent to help prevent and reduce scarring! The pads adhear to your skin whilst you sleep, once the morning comes you simply peel the pads off and stick them back onto the plastic sheeting they came in. The kits RRP for $35.95
Did it work on my skin?
I used the masks every night for a week and a half and they have just lost their 'stick'. I found that they definitely have hydrated my under eyes as which i wake up in the morning there looks to be a difference. My forehead..well obviously at 19 I don't have many wrinkles but it also did hydrate my forehead as I find that that area is the area where I get the most dry skin for some reason. So that has been reduced definitely.

OVERALL:
I really liked this product and love the idea of a silicon over night mask! Perfect for a girls night/ all nighter and for those of us who suffer dark under eye circles or wrinkles on our foreheads! The name is so easy to remember too… Wrinkles Schminkles fellow beauties!

lets get RADICAL

Oh how I rave about this skincare company.. and for good reason!

Haven't heard of it?
Well Radical Skincare is "the most powerful skincare available that is paraben free, clinically prover, designed for all skin types and works for sensitive skin. The best of the best in antioxidants and anti-aging ingredients that uses TryLacel Technology to keep it potent and powerful to deliver results".
It is sold in Mecca Cosmetic & Maxima for those of us in Australia. Now some may feel its expensive but honestly you get what you pay for with these products! Their range consists of 11 products, including: the Hydrating cleanser ($45 USD), Instant revitalising mask ($65), Youth Infusion Serum ($170), Advanced peptide antioxidant serum ($190), Anti-aging restorative moisturise ($150), Extreme repair ($150), Age- defying exfoliating pads ($75, Eye revive creme ($125), Multi Brightening serum ($150), Skin perfecting screen SPF30 ($55), Firming neck gel ($125).

Instagram: +radicalskincare / @radicalskincare

What do I use?

I have been using the Age-defying exfoliating pads for about 6 months now and have loved them, At the start of 2014 I had quite bad scarring on my cheeks which got me a little down so my friend who works at Mecca recommend these for me and wow! I started off using them every night for the first week or so and then changed to every second night. The scarring has faded and my breakouts are less frequent. These contain an AHA and BHA based formula which promotes cell turnover and is effective in removing dead skin cells. Its other ingredients leave the skin tighter, firmer and reduce pore size whilst still nourishing the skin. The past (almost) month I have been using the Youth Infusion Serum swell which I use every night after my full cleanse is done and in the morning when I wake up. It is a dual purpose potion to firm and tone the skin while booting natural hydration and avoiding any harmful side effects.  I had found the texture of this product goes onto my skin VERY smoothly and is extremely hydrating. Used in conjunction with the exfoliating pads these two products have heavily reduced my scarring and added some much needed hydration into my skin!

Love these products and this company!
I will defiantly be repurchasing when I run out! Anyone suffering from scarring that you can't seem to get rid of I highly recommend this product to you, or anyone who needs some extra hydration on their skin!

EUROBIODERM? My thoughts..

Recently I received a little parcel from Eurobioderm, so today I'm going to be telling you what I thought of the two products!

What is Eurobioderm?
It is a Scientific skin care formulated with a Nobel Prize winning EGF research that helps rejuvenate the skin by accelerating cell renewal.
The companies website is currently under construction but you can find them via Facebook https://www.facebook.com/eurobioderm?fref=ts and Instragram @eurobioderm

SKIN RECONSTRUCTING DAY CREAM
The cream has a thick consistency , has a mild smell, and my skin didn't have a sensitivity to this cream, It doesn't dry on the skin straight away which didn't bother me as I moisturise my skin and leave it for a little while before I put my makeup on. I felt after 2 weeks of use my skin was hydrated and didn't have any dry patches like I usually get, especially when I'm at the beach from the salty water. So this cream has been wonderful to use!

OVERNIGHT ANTI-AGING SERUM

The serum dries almost instantly is very lightweight which I really liked, as I have found a lot of serums are quite thick! I loved the feel of it on my skin and found my face looked fresh in the morning but had a slightly 'shiny' look to it.

Eurobioderm has stated that for best results you should use the products hand in hand with one and other, applying 2-3 drops of the serum after cleansing your face at night. Then in the morning applying the day cream to the face and neck region.

TWO THOUSAND AND FOURTEEN LOVES

I PRESENT TO YOU… MY LOVES OF TWO THOUSAND AND FOURTEEN

2014 for me was a huge growing and learning year in terms of makeup. I learnt how to not only apply specific make up but how to pick the good from the bad. High end brands are not everything at the end of the day… who says a concealer from Chanel is better than a concealer for 1/3 of the price from priceline? It comes down to what works for YOU! My top picks are a mixture of high end and drug store products which I have used and loved over the past year. Some I've only just discovered and some Ive had a long term relationship with. SO HERE WE GO…

FOUNDATION- Nars Sheer Glow as most of you would know is such a popular foundation, I love it because it doesn't feel 'heavy' on my face like pervious foundations I have used, such as mac prolong wear. I love to mix this with whats left of my Stila 'Stay all day' foundation or if I'm after a glowing look I will mix the Josie Maran liquid illuminzer. The other foundation I have been reaching for to wear to university is the Maybelline 'Dream liquid mousse' which I picked up from priceline during the 50% off sale. It is a wonderful foundation which if applied with the correct primer will last throughout the day without visible signs of deterioration.

LIPSTICKS- Shanghai Suzy, now I had heard of it alot over Instagram etc and loved the price of $12.95 so in 2014 I finally picked the colour 'neon guava' up and all I can
say is love love love, long wearing for the most part, very pigmented and the smell! It smells like a watermelon! Of course I have a nude lipstick to add to my favourites as 2014 was the year of the 'Kylie Jenner lip', my pick is one from the Elly Lukas lipstick line and is a cool nude which applies smoothly and gives a natural look. The last favourite for the year is from the Gerard cosmetics line called 'All Dolled Up', it is an absolute dupe for MACS 'Candy Yum-Yum' lipstick. I purchased it during the 'black friday' american sales online and ending up getting my hands on four different lipsticks for $45 AUD! For $33 AUD you can buy only one MAC lipstick so I was pretty please with this deal!

FACE PRODUCTS-
As usual Nars Orgasm blush and Laguna bronzer are thrown into the mix as well as some new purchases. The Balm mary-lou illumizer (you would have most likely heard of this as it was highly raved about in 2014), Essence 'Soo glow' which is a cream to powder product which has such a beautiful finish and for $5 you cannot go wrong!
My holy grail primer is the Stila one step corrector and has been for a few years now, I find it goes on smoothly and holds my make up on throughout the day nicely as well as colour correcting your face. Avaliable from Mecca for around $48, I highly recommend this to anyone on the search for a new primer!
I have tried a lot of setting products for my make-up over the year but nothing comes up to par with the Kryolan ultra setting spray. I picked it up at IMATS in Sydney for around $24 (but that was clearly at a special show price) but I think in the emporium store (Melbourne) its around $35. The spray is everything you could need and want from a setting spray.. Spritzing my face after I have applied all my makeup at 7am which then stays on till about 9pm at night, I find my face looking nearly exactly the same as it did that morning! Im onto my second canister and use it nearly everyday. Lastly for my face I discovered half way through the year this Lush Tea Tree Water which is a toner in a refreshing spritz form, it is available in the smaller bottle ($9.95) which has lasted me 6 months of using it twice daily and a larger bottle which is $19.95.. still such a reasonable price for such an amazing product! love love love

EYES- One of my favourite finds of the whole year which I only discovered in mid november is the Too Faced 'Better Than Sex' mascara which is available from Mecca Maxima and Kit stores. It honestly is one of the most amazing mascaras I have ever used- It extends the lashes with a slightly thicker look without clumping. It is $29 which for a high end mascara is a bargain in my opinion. From Essence I tried the 'I love extreme' mascara which was around $4 from priceline and is so so terrific for a drugstore mascara! Inglot eyebrow pencil in ‘506’ is light in its colour and doesn't apply with an intense appearance which I really like because I don't like to ‘draw on’ my eyebrows, just lightly fill them in. The MAC eyebrow pencil in ‘lingering’ is another one of my go-to products for my brows, although it applies a little more intense than my inglot pencil, it is easy to brush out and matches my hair colour perfectly..
Josie Maran 'Rio De Rose Gold' liquid eyeshadow and I really hit it off this year after being on the waiting list for ages at is had sold out, I would defiantly say it has been one of my top 5 products this year. Australis AC LOVE ME eyeshadow in the medium colour I found was very pigmented and lovely and creamy to use, although I did find that it tends to crease on the eyelid throughout the day but in saying that for $6 (or thereabouts) its very comparable to the Stila metallic metals. MAC loose pigment in 'Copper Sparkle' is also one of my favourites for the year. I have used it so much and I haven't even made a dent into it which is what i love about MAC pigments, they last forever. I used this as an eyeliner on my eyelid and just under my waterline which I apply with an angled eyeliner brush and a dash of Fix+.
The primer I use when applying eyeshadow is always 'Shadow Insurance' from Too Faced which I received in a christmas kit so it is a sample size. I find it is long wearing and doesn't move once applied and helps my eye products not to crease.

I hope you found this somewhat interesting as I rambled on…

HYDRA-BOOST FACE OIL
I received the 'Hydra-Boost Face oil' which contains argan and rosehip oil and is designed for all skin types. It is a beautiful smelling blend of three oils plus anti-oxidant rich vitamin e. Helping to improve the appearance of burns, acne scars, wrinkles and even stretch marks it will leave your skin feeling smooth and glowing! SKIN PURIFY CLEANSING GEL
I also received the 'Skin Purify' Cleansing gel for oily/ problem skin. 'It is a purifying, oil balancing cleanser established using a combination of extracts that cleanse pores, dissolves makeup, grease and dirt all while leaving skin fresh and luminous. The blend of natural Fruit extracts contain AHA fruit acids that have a gentle exfoliating action, revealing younger, smoother skin. The blend is extremely gentle and has been created to cleanse the skin without stripping the natural oils from the skin’s mantel. pH balanced and with the added benefits of argan, papaya, kiwi, comfrey and pineapple extracts, Amboni’s formula purifies and hydrates, leaving skin radiant and fresh.
' The smell of this cleanser reminds me of my recent trip to The one and only resort on Hayman Island where everything had a calm and organic smell to it- Extreamly relaxing in my opinion. The cleanser is a gel which is my favourite type of cleanser because it works well with my skin I have found, and when using my Clarisonic Mia 2 is is distributed evenly all over my face and neck. I felt my skin was soft and deeply cleansed, leaving no make up on my face yet still having a hydrated feel.

For a 100ml bottle this cleanser retails for $39.95 but is totally worth is because remember all these products are free of petrochemicals, glycols, paragons, sulphates, mineral oil, urea, talc, synthetic colour and synthetic fragrance! Available from http://www.amboniorganics.com/collections/facial-care/products/face-cleanser-gel-skin-purify I will defiantly be repurchasing this one!

RELAX BLEND BATH SALTS
Lastly I was lucky enough to get a 'Relax Blend' of bath salts! YUM! On the rare occasion when I do indulge in having a bath I love to have salts or Lush bath bombs around me to help my skin all over. The blend is Oils of Lavender, Geranium, Bergamot and Patchouli which are said to be the  perfect combination to assist with complete relaxation, they help regulate mood and anxiety levels while mineral salt assists muscle soreness and body aches.  It smells so relaxing and natural it reminded me of Qualia Resort in Hamilton Island which is based around natural and native plants and blends. I can't wait to jump in the bath and test this out! This product retails for $19.95 but is on sale for $15.95! BE QUICK- it is available from http://www.amboniorganics.com/collections/spa-body/products/bath-soak-relax-blend
